Pool Notes
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Pool Notes (“the app”) is a swimming-pool water-care journal made by Morton Builds (“we”, “us”). This is the short version, because there isn’t much to say: the app does not collect any of your data. Questions: jon@mortonbuilds.com.
Your pools, water tests, dose history, and reminders are stored only on your device. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud. Your information never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or anyone else. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
Pool Notes does not connect to the internet. It contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not know who you are, we cannot see your readings, and we have nothing to sell.
If you turn on test reminders, they are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. Setting a reminder does not send any information off your phone. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your iPhone’s Settings.
The app is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because it does not collect information at all.
Pool Notes offers dose guidance based on established pool water-chemistry practice and mass-balance estimates. It is a helper, not a substitute for professional testing or advice. Always verify readings with a quality test kit, follow all chemical handling instructions, and retest before re-dosing and before swimming.
If this policy ever changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it.
