Pool Notes turns a water test into plain instructions: log your readings and get the exact amount of each chemical to add, in the units of the products you actually own. Here’s how to get going, and how to reach a human if you’re stuck.

Getting started

Set up your pool — its size in gallons, how you chlorinate (liquid, salt system, or tablets), the surface, and the strength of the chlorine and acid you buy. This is what makes the doses accurate for your pool.
Log a test — punch in whatever you measured. A quick free chlorine and pH check is a perfectly valid test.
Read the Fix — you’ll get a plain-language summary and the exact dose for anything out of range, in the right order to add them.
Sound a Mayday — if the water turns green or combined chlorine climbs, the Mayday screen walks you through a guided rescue step by step.

Common questions

Does my data sync or back up? Everything lives on your phone — there are no accounts and no cloud. Keep that in mind before deleting the app or switching phones.

My reminder didn’t fire. Make sure notifications are allowed for Pool Notes in your iPhone’s Settings → Notifications.

A dose looks off. Double-check the chemical strengths in your pool settings (for example, 12.5% liquid chlorine vs. 10% store bleach) — the math scales to those numbers.
